GB-PVR: v0.99.5

I have a Hauppauge DVB-T PCI card (9002) installed, and am using the DVB EPG Broadcast source for my program details.

My card has detected a load of channels, and I've mapped 15 to the EPG list. These have all got relevant tuning data attributed to them.

When running the EPG update, I can pull down most but not all of my channel data. The following ones fail, and they're all on the same digital channel.

ITV1
ITV2
ITV3
More 4
Film4 + 1

Oddly enough, Channel 4 is picked up fine, and this is on the same channel as the ones above (T:C28,529834,0,0,8)

Anyone got any advice or help to offer?

Thanks.

this used to be the case with an unpatched 98.13, but I thought the patch had been worked into 99.5 (something to do with broadcast EPG data compression tricks in the UK). Did you get this behaviour in 98.13??? I've not upgraded yet, but I might wait to see how this problem goes before i do....

I have only just installed GB-PVR after messing around (and giving up!) with MediaPortal for a while. This is my first version install. I did do some reading, however, and noticed that this problem occurred previously, but had been patched. I assumed that the fix was rolled into 0.99.5. Can anyone confirm?

I don't normally use the broadcast EPG but I just setup a test to see what happened (I'm on Crysstal Palace).

Of the channels mentioned above, all are fully populated with guide info except for Film4 + 1 which has no data at all. CITV is also completely empty.

I also notice that Five, Five US and Five Life are empty after midnight on Mon/Tue. I guess in this instance there simply isn't any broadcast EPG data for those three after that time.

A full rescan hasn't populated the CITV or Film4 + 1 channels.

Urmm - not sure that really helps anyone much though.

Cheers,
Brian

Does anyone know for sure if Film4 + 1 transmits an EPG? (more than just the current/next program)

If so, and someone can provide a sample tranpost stream file for this mux, then I'm happy to look into it and fix.

Give me a moment - I'll have a look with TSReader.

Looks like just Now/Next. This is all I get from an XMLTV export from TSReader...

Code:
<channel id="8452-Film4+1">
<display-name lang="en">Film4+1</display-name>
<transport-stream-ID>8197</transport-stream-ID>
<signal-info>481.8 MHz</signal-info>
</channel>
<programme start="20061229160000" stop="20061229181000" channel="8452-Film4+1">
<title>A Matter of Life and Death</title>
<desc>(1946) Powell and Pressburger's striking fantasy, starring David Niven as an airman who cheats death, but must argue for his life in a celestial court. With Roger Livesey and Kim Hunter.  [S]|481.8 MHz</desc>
</programme>
<programme start="20061229181000" stop="20061229201500" channel="8452-Film4+1">

OK, that explains that then.

Just a quick follow up to this...

CITV also seems to only broadcast Noew/Next info which will also explain that being empty.

Five, Five Life and Five US are on a 64QAM mux and it's pretty crowded. I'm guessing what I saw with the listings cutting off at midnight Mon/Tue is as a result of poor data quality. Using TSReader, I also get varying numbers of days of guide info everytime I retune the mux.
