Can any USA/Canadian users of zap2it for their EPG data check to see if their TV Guide listings extend past Jan 4, 2007 at 6PM.

For some reason my EPG either through GBPVR or EWA doesn't show any listings past that date/time and I wanted to set up to record The Apprentice starting Jan 7, 2007.

Thanks for any feedback

My zap2it guide is setup in config to be good for 14 days in advance but like I said at the beginning of this thread, it only shows programming to Jan 4, 2007 which is seven days from today.

I hope this isn't an approaching problem because my primary use of GBPVR is to record TV programs and watch them at a later time without commercials.

Do you get any error in your config.exe.log when you click the 'Update EPG' button?

Yep, there's an error. Here's what it lists...

Quote:12/29/2006 9:19:03 PM.731 ERROR [5] Error UpdateEPG()'ing: System.IO.InvalidDataException: The magic number in GZip header is not correct. Make sure you are passing in a GZip stream.

I have a feeling my EPG has not updated properly since I installed GBPVR 99.5 on 12/22/06 which working backwards from the point of where my valid EPG ends on 1/4/07 equals exactly 14 days.

Try this patch from yesterday: http://forums.gbpvr.com/showpost.php?p=1...stcount=21

Since v0.99, GB-PVR requests the data to be returned from zap2it as a compressed stream. It usually seems to obey this request, but occassional not, and in this patch GB-PVR handles it more gracefully if zap2it chooses to ignore this request for a compressed response.

The Update EPG method I used above and got the error was going into GBPVR config and doing an Update EPG for the capture source.

One more thing. I don't believe Update EPG from the GBPVRTray icon is working at all. When I use that method, it appears to do something as it opens an Update EPG window for about 60 seconds but it never leaves a log trace of actually doing anything.
