Hi.

Any reason why MCE Blaster don't work with GBPVR latest version in Vista? Won't learn og blast. Works fine with Vista MCE. No error-messages. Just don't work.

Thanks.

I couldnt tell you, its not something I've ever tested. You could try using HIP - it might give you more feedback.

Thanks for replying to my post.

I have tried HIP, but it dosn't work either. Seems Vista is blocking access to the IR-receiver.

Yeah, sounds like it, or the driver doesnt support it yet or something similar.

I've exactly the same problem, upgrade to vista buisness edition and now can't get the blaster to change channels on the sky digibox which makes my setup quite redundant... as well as not being able to get the mvp to work under vista!

Searching elsewhere, I found this thread... Seems as though it's fairly recent and active and might provide a solution shortly.. maybe as a channel changer exe, here's hoping

I know it's a rival product sorry....

See the replacement driver here.

http://forum.team-mediaportal.com/window...ml?t=20094

Think it solved the issue by allowing gbpvr/hip to comunicate with the ir hardware exactly like under xp rather than trying to recode to the new vista driver????

Anyways, works for me..
