Worked fine until yesterday. Now I get an error when selecting any form of "Live TV".

Error message:
"Object reference not set to an instance of an object"

- "Live TV" gets this error. Going through the "TV Guide" and trying to play a channel has the same resulting error.
- FM Radio used to work... But doesn't now. No error though... it just doesn't play anything.
- I can play pre-recorded stuff, DVD's, Videos, Music, etc...
- EPG works fine... (except for the whole "watching the channel" part)
- There are no IRQ conflicts. Device manager seems to be in order.
- The device shows up fine in GBPVR config.
- I recently installed a Sound Blaster Audigy... but everything has worked since then (3 days ago) up to yesterday.
- Been playing with parallelprocessing.bat and comskip, but thats about it.

Seems to be isolated to the TV tuner card and/or GBPVR suddenly.
Single tuner, ATI Theater 550 Pro card (VisionTek Xtasy Theater 550 Pro) in this box.
The tuner card could have gone bad, thats what it seems like anyway at this point... but I won't make that determination until further testing is done.

Any ideas?

PS - If someone asks for a .log file upload... please specify exactly what file you need.

zip and attach the logs and I'll take a look.

As I said in the sticky 'posting support questions' thread, if I dont specify a specific log file, then attach them all.

Sorry for that sub. Sometimes my rememberer goes on the blink. Wink

Update: I tested the tuner functions with another PVR and it works fine. For "Process of elimination" troubleshooting purposes.

The cause isnt obvious looking at your logs, but run the filtercheck utility, then zip and attach the resulting filtercheck.log and I'll look a little deeper: http://forums.gbpvr.com/showpost.php?p=1...ostcount=6

Its something to do with your device having non-standard names on the 'capture' filter. I dont know what would cause this. Its expecting the normal names like 'ATI Analog Video Input', 'ATI Analog Audio Input', 'ATI Audio Capture Output', 'ATI Video Decoder YUV Output', 'ATI Audio Decoder PCM Output'. Instead your machine seems to have generic names Input0, Input1 etc...

I dont really have any suggestions other than maybe reinstalling the device drivers.

Huh...
Well, it works now.

I uninstalled the drivers for the SB Audigy, and the ATI Tuner.
I uninstalled GBPVR and deleted the directories.

Then reinstalled the drivers, and GBPVR... now everything works great.
As a matter of fact I get a slightly better picture quality (with the same drivers), and the FM tuner station scan works. "Scan" didn't work at all the first installation, I had to manually tune each station.

But... The FM stations that I select "keep"... doesn't keep them. It just keeps that last one it found.
Different issue... different thread.

Thanks sub!
