Changing assigned channel numbers

After scanning for channels on gb-pvr, the app gave them numbers there are different than their real numbers on the STB. how do i assign different numbers to the channels on the app, so that my EPG will become effective for recordings??

You can edit channel number in the Recording Source menu, IIRC. GB-PVR will simply increment new channel numbers as it receives notice of new channels from e.g. zap2it or as you add channels.

As you've found, these automatic channel numbers are not always useful as is.

When I've had a lot of problems setting up my channel guide, I found it better to manually delete all of them in the Recording Source menu and then update EPG via zap2it.com. That way the initial automatic numbers match the online EPG.

You'll have to play with it a while to get used to how it works.

Use the 'Channels' page in the Config app. and assign whatever numbers you want to them.
