Recording OK then....CRASH

Happening more frequently now, just now and again, recording fine, then my pc crashes, restarts and the recording resumes. Cannot think of any change that would have caused this.
LOG files attached... Any suggestions? Nick

When you say the PC crashes, what exactly happens? Does it reboot or something?

Yes, it just instantly restarts without error or any warning.

check your system setting, what's configured to do after a crash? if it's configured to automaticaly restart, you might want to change it. that way you'll have the chance to see the BSOD & that will show you what caused the crash. use google with the reported file to find out what (driver/device) is causing the crash. i had once regular BSOD caused by nv4_disp.dll (happens to be the nVidia drivers

it's not gbpvr that is crashing your pc. It is most likely one of these:-
1. A wrong/ corrupt driver for graphics card, tv tuner, motherboard chipset do what K.S. advises) 2. A lack of ventilation that is resulting in overheating (take the lid/side of the case off) 3. A faulty pice of hardware

Yeah, I have to agree with the comments above. A reboot wont be caused by GB-PVR itself. It'll be a driver or faulty bit of hardware.

Well, it seems weird it ONLY happens when recording. PC ok for 8 days, 24/7, then do a recording and it crashes/reboots. This has been the case for the last 3 months.
A friend with same config hardware not running GBPVR has no problem. So, must say, it has got to be GBPVR...... Any thoughts??? Nick

GB-PVR runs as a user mode ring 3 application. In this protected user mode environment I cant think of a single thing GB-PVR could do to cause a crash that would reboot the machine even if it wanted to. On the other hand, the drivers for the capture devices run in ring 0, which would be able to do this easily.
Other than a driver, it could be some system instability (memory, chipset DMA controller, weak power supply etc). Video generates a huge about of data and I/O, much more than any other type of app, so it could be something in this high load which is pushing your machine over the edge.

Do you use your capture device other then in gbpvr? If it is hardware of driver related then this could cause it to happen when only using gbpvr...
