Hi all--
I'm getting myself set up with a media machine, and have settled on GBPVR as my software of choice. I love it so far. After initial disappointments, thanks to the forums, I've got the MPEG decoding setup so that recorded programs play beautifully.
Now I'm trying out the DVD player functionality and am hitting a brick wall... or a black screen as the case may be. Was wondering if it is as simple as needing a plugin to support the SATA DVD burner, or if it is more than just that.
My setup is:
Asrock 775Dual-Vsta mobo
512 MB
200GB IDE drive
MSI Geforce FX5200
LiteOn 16x SATA DVD burner
Windows 2000 Pro SP4 with all updates
Hauppauge PVR150
I'm using the GPL MPEG decoder... Do I need to install some third party DVD player software in order to get past the black screen (any recommendations?) , or is this a hardware issue?
