my programs and use mame with a remote?

has anyone got mame to work using a remote in gbpvr? Like just for simple games like pacman or tetris? I use hip so if there is a way to get it to work using hip that'd be cool, I haven't tried my programs plugin yet, I will have to play with that later.......I use a MX-500 remote so I thought the joystick on the remote would be neat for the direction........

When I start using emulators I will probably just go out & buy a wireless gamepad.

Yes there is. Just set up the keyboard keys for Mame and map the remote control keys to the keyboard commands in Hip. I have HIP set up so that with every emulator I have I can exit back to GBPVR by pressing the exit button on my remote, save states by pressing the record button and restore states by pressing the play button.
