Hey all, how goes it? Smile

I've been playing with GB for a while now, and I've really liked it!
However the EPG hasn't been updating automatically lately. I use Zap2it, which I had a good deal of trouble with getting to function correctly this last time I reinstalled my htpv. Errors with the data zap was sending me.
I got this fixed with the help of the forums, I'm mentioning it really just in case it might be related, although I don't actually know if it is.

My EPG hasn't been auto updating. It updates fine when I minimize GB and right click the system tray icon, but otherwise... nothing.

I've searched for an answer to this problem, but found little. I did come across some posts talking about the benefits of xmltv files, which sound like something I would be interested in. But alas I am at an impasse.

I am having a difficult time setting things up, while there are many resources on using xml on the forums, and the wiki, they all seem to wined around each other, and it has been very confusing. I was hoping some good Samaritan might have a step-by-step written up somewhere that would be of assistance. I live in Colorado, should that matter - I mean, clearly I wouldn't use a channel line up from the UK or something but ya.
Or if anyone has any guesses as to why Zap2it is failing me so.

Thanks for everything Big Grin

Here are my logs: http://rapidshare.com/files/13570961/logs.zip.html
(sry for rapidshare, my server is offline ATM)
I am using version 0.99.5
My system:
WinXPSP2 - 2Gig Dual, 1.5 Gig ram, 80Gig OS 1TB Sata2 RAID 5 for storage (w00t newegg)
I have NPF and a pix, but as a CCNP and full time net admin, I am -sure- it's not a connectivity issue
And I like long walks on the beach... I... err.. crud wrong forum *walks away embarrassed*

Unfortunately those recording service logs dont cover the 5:00am time your machine is configured to do the auto EPG update. Leave the box running over this time, then zip and attach the logs and I'll take a look.

If I was in the US, I wouldnt bother messing around with XMLTV - its just a pain in the butt. Better to get zap2it working. Attach those logs and I'll take a look.

sorry for the problem with the logs, but that's kind of the problem, this computer is never turned off :S

I repacked the logs today, and I turned off all GB stuff while I did it to make sure that none of the logs were in use while it was archiving. I opened a few up, and noticed that there are a few that cover the update time now, I hope this helps Smile
