I'm from Scotland, so the channel 3 (ITV) station comes up as:
STV (was Grampian/Scottish)

This causes problems when I'm using the webEPG - specifically the TV icon doesn't show because the icon doesn't register. All the rest of the channels are fine.

So, I think that changing the name of the station in GBPVR might do that, but can anyone else something else that would work around this problem?

Thanks.

I have the same problem in the Netherlands for a Belgian channel that is called Ketnet/Canvas. What I do is post-process the TV guide xml file to replace the slash by an underscore.

In the forum (http://forums.nextpvr.com/showthread.php?t=1468) I found that GB-PVR automatically strips these characters from the name, so you should use a name like:

"STV (was GrampianScottish)"

I haven't tried this myself, though (will do it tonight).

It works for me. Just drop the slash from the filename.

I dealt with this issue by cheating. Blatently.

Created a folder in gbpvr\media\ChannelLogos called "STV (was Grampian" with a file in there called "Scottish).png"

so the EWA sees the file:
gbpvr/media/ChannelLogos/STV (was Grampian/Scottish).png

Works like a charm.

Yeah, sounds like a EWA bug. In GB-PVR's TV Guide (in gbpvr.exe), I strip the slashes as hzwaal mentioned above. EWA should really do the same.

I have slashes in the EWA channel mames, e.g. Ketnet/Canvas.
Could it have to do with the header of the epg-xml file. I have the following:
Code:
<?xml version="1.0" encoding="ISO-8859-1"?>

It's added by a program called cleanxmltv.
I use Amontillado's tvgids_to_xml grabber, it does not add any header like that.
