Feature request - Mange Recordings

In the Manage Recordings tab, could it be possible to also have a "Group By" option. Unfortunately, I have lots of old recordings and the list can get really long. I sort by Title, but could it also have a flag to group by the same option for sort.

Actually you should be able to group on title when using the treeView format....select a Primary and Secondary sort on Title.....

However.....with the last update I introduced a bug that broke that grouping....attached is a fix that should re-enable that grouping.

That looks better. Didn't that that it was supposed t be that way.

But I think I still see a bug, or I dont understand the secondary sort. I assume that the secondary sort means sorting within the primary sort/group. But that doesn't seem to happen. Is the following correct?

Primary: Title
Seconday: Date

Did you try title title.....I would have to look at the code to be sure but I Think Title Air Date (what you have set) means sort by title and then air date order so what you are seeing are the recordings in air date order but grouped by title....does that make sense.

Title/Title will group by title....and then list the shows in air date order.

Let me know if this is what you were looking for......

Well, setting to Title/Title did do it right. I guess what you are saying about how you sort does make some sence. I was just used to secondary sort which meant how to sort the results within each group sorted.

The above looks more like primary sort by date, then bundle group by title, sort of. I can see where the logic can be confusing.

I know what you mean....it is all a matter of perspective on the sort.....
