I think I may have come across a bug in NEWA that causes all recordings in NPVR to be deleted. Last night my wife deleted an episode of Who Do You Think You Are at 20:14. A minute later all recordings in NPVR were progressively deleted.
Today I confirmed that all it takes is a single click on the checkbox at the top of the recordings listing in NEWA (in the old style view i.e. ip_addr/manage.aspx rather than the new style at ip_addr/manage2.aspx). I have also confirmed that it occurs on two different computers and browsers (tested on both iMac OSX10.10 in Safari and Win7Pro in IE11). I have included the logs after doing this testing. It would be great to find a solution but at least I can tell my wife that it was the stupid computer's fault!

That check box at the top is for delete all....it purpose if you have a bunch of recordings you want.to delete you have a tool that easily let's you select all.

I belive the box is marked delete all or select all.

I can see where Chuck is coming from. On my NEWA, the box is just marked "Select" with the Delete button right below. Would be more clear if it said "Select All".

to clarify, Chuck_2330 is saying that ONE SINGLE CLICK on that checkbox initiates the delete; not a click on the select all checkbox followed by a click on the delete button. I don't have a test machine handy to try it on, and I'm sure as heck not going to click that box on my "production" NPVR server.

Johnsonx42 is correct. Everything was deleted by a single click. Nasty!

I have done more testing and could not reproduce Chuck's problem. Using the manage.aspx "page", a single program can be deleted by checking its box in the leftmost column, and then clicking Delete. Clicking the "Select" box above the Delete button puts a check in the box for each individual program. Clicking the Delete button then deletes all programs. Seems to work right to me. My only suggestion is to change the label of the "Select" box to "Select All".

I repeated the test on the Manage2 page, and found that to work correctly as well. On that page, the box that selects all is labeled "All". Similar to above, I think it would be better if the label was "Select All".

All of the above testing was in "Table View". It looks like the delete function is only available in Table View.

In summary, I could not find an instance where a single click deleted either a single, or all recordings.

The change log says I'm running NEWA v 2.16, dated 4/21/15. The manage.aspx file is dated 8/24/12, if that means anything. This is a NPVR 3.4.8 install with the installer dated 5/3/2015.

Thanks for the testing......that is how it is to work. I'll do some more testing when back in town and at least update the labels.
