In the home page of gbpvr(.com), second paragraph it reads:
Quote:GB-PVR also supports specialist hardware decoders including Sigma Designs XCard...

However, in the following threads it is suggested xCard support was "ditched":

http://forums.nextpvr.com/showthread.php...ight=xcard
http://forums.nextpvr.com/showthread.php...ight=xcard
And most notably:
http://forums.nextpvr.com/showthread.php...ight=xCard

The worst part is that while doing my research on what to buy, all I read is the homepage of gbpvr. It supports xCard! Since I have a 400Mhz CPU, this was a great option and went for it: no CPU burden + great software.

The Xcard hasn't arrived yet and I read the forums. I was shocked to see xCard support has been ditched.

My question is: will I be able to see gbpvr menus in my TV with the xCard, yes or no? Plain and simple.

The front page is long overdue for a rewrite. I last updated it a couple of years back.

GB-PVR no longer officially supports the xcard. While havnt officially done anything to stop it working, I havnt tested myself it in about two years.

I'm assuming this still works, so yes you should see the GB-PVR menus on the xcard. It'll be in the xcard's 256 colour palette, so wont look great, but you should see it.

I know DVD playback no longer works on the xcard.

sub, thanks for the fast reply. I'll post my experience as soon as I get and test the xcard.
