I had to redo my DVB capture sources, and no matter what I did I couldnt get E4 to show up in the channel scan. Convinced that there was nothing wrong with the broadcast I copied the tuning request out of an old backed up gbpvr.db3 and stuck it in the current one using SQLite Database Browser - and now I have E4 back again.
Q1 - can you see why e4 wasnt picked up by the scan (logs attached)? all the other channels on the mux are fine. Its tuning request is T:C28,530000,0,0,8~P:8448~V:570~A:571~L:eng~PMT:304~N:>E4 if this helps identify it.

Q2 - what is source_channel_number in the database? Some times its the same on each capture card for a channel, and sometimes its not. I stuck with the value from the old DB and that seems to work, but I'd rather have some idea of what it is Ive stuck in Smile

Is e4 one of these channels in te UK that only transmits at certain times of the day? I can see it found e4 during the scan, but couldnt identify the audio and video PIDs, which is what you normally get when the channel is not transmitting at the time of the scan. The fix to this is to scan when the channel is transmitting.

I'd rather you didnt poke around in the database. Its a sure fire way to break something.

If you need to add it manually, it'd be easier to add it to scan cache text file, then go to the 'map digital channels to epg channels' screen and do the mapping the normal way.

No, it broadcasts 24/7, and I tried a few times through the day just in case - so something else odd is happening....

I know, i know, you've told us many times before Smile :o , and I'm just the kind of guy to break things too. I did back up first tho....[/QUOTE]
