I have been having great fun ( ) trying to get S3 suspend/resume trying to work properly on an EPC945 with a Nova-t-500. Yes I know that there are lots of posts elsewhere and lots of trouble with this card. But I just have to persevere!
I thought I had it cracked and just ran a test with 7, 10 minute manual recordings with 10 minute gaps in between. It should have recorded/slept 7 times. And indeed it did 5 times beautifully, but then trouble.
The attached logs cover the time period between about 15:00 and 16:00. The 6th and 7th recordings were scheduled for 15:10 and 15:30 (each for 10 minutes). The 15:10 recording started perfectly and looking at the logs you would think that it finished OK too. It did in one sense, that the recording on disk is 10 minutes long. But I was suspicious when the machine did not go to sleep in between 15:20 and 15:30 at all. When I came to look at the box at about 16:00 it was still on. It should have gone to sleep, but this is not a question about sleeping - I have that one cracked OK.
When I looked at 16:00 the GBPVR Pending recordings was still showing the 15:20 recording as still Recording. So did the status box from the Tray. The 15:30 recording had not started either. (two tuner system, so even if it thought there was still a recording, a tuner was available).
Restarting GBPVR gui did not change anything. Then I restated the recording service and immediately the Pending Recordings display changed to show the 15:10 recording as ready and the 15:30 recording as Failed.
Why might this happen?
