Recording Nascar/sport

Tv guide say that it will be finished 22:00
but in reality it most of the time will go overtime
for 1,2,3 hours
How can I fix that my recording have an other end time?
I can use post pad but
1- can only change it 90 minuts in tv Guide
2- insecure , other recording on same source can take away post pad

You can always do a manual record, it's more work to set up, but then you'll know you won't miss anything.
