Hi folks,
I recently upgraded my main box to an AMD X2 4200 with a Sapphire Theatre 550-based tuner card and decided to install GB-PVR. Everything works fine except on about every third boot, the system tray icon loads, but the recording service dies in an unusual way: I'll right-click on the GB icon and the menu takes up to 5 seconds to load (it's usually instantaneous), then when I click on Show Status, it shows me EIGHT capture sources! That'd be nice, but I only have the ONE!
Clicking on Restart Recording Service fixes the problem, but if I don't check it, it'll never record (just creates an entry with the FAILED flag).
I've been using GB-PVR as a stand-alone system on "older" PCs and haven't had this kind issue before. Software is the same on all my boxes: XP Pro SP2, gig of RAM, Theater 550 cards, Avast! Anti-virus. Only difference is that all other systems are single-core CPUs while the one that gives me this odd glitch is a dual-core.
I've got all the latest drivers, running v0.99.5, with the latest BIOS for my mobo, too...
Ideas?
Thanks!
