When I record long programs (>1 hour) the recording takes place but the status of GBPVR says that it is still recording. The file exists and is appropriate size but is still in a pending status. Future recordings will fail. I tried to stop the service but it will not shutdown. I end up needing to reboot. After I reboot the recording will show up as available but will give me the "Unable to play file error". I am only having this problem with the OnAir GT device. Please help.

Reproduce the problem, then zip and attach the logs and I'll take a look. Include comments about the time the recording was expected to start/stop

Here are the logs for the show "The Mirror Has Two Faces" that was supposed to record from 3:00pm - 5:30pm.

The very last message in your log related to stopping the recording, so I'm guessing either the device either never returned from the "stop" request, effectively locking up the recording service, or the recording service crashed (check if GBPVRRecordingService.exe is in the process list).

Yes GBPVRRecordingService.exe is in the process list and I can't stop it using Services or Task Manager.

sub, Is the 'Stop' function a BDA call?
Niebs, We'll be soon releasing a new version of our driver (v3.0.0.1) which will solve some compatibility issues & add new features. You may wish to try it and see if the problem occurs again.

Behind the scenes there is a BDA driver call to stop the component. This is being called by Directshow when GB-PVR asks the graph to stop.

I tried the new driver with the same results.

There was a patch for this posted yesterday in another thread. Ryan supplied some info about some extra initialisation that was required.

Niebs,
Try the patch sub posted in this thread:
GB-PVR: OnAir USB GT QAM tuning

If the patch doesn't work, email me (tech@autumnwave.com) and I'll hook you up with a 'debug' version of our driver. It'll capture data that we can take a closer look at.
