Here's the scene.
Backend Server 1(big but slowish) records programes.
Frontend Server 2 (smaller but faster) streams programmes/ database to MVP and pcs via EWA.
When playing a divx encoded file on a MVP the file is streamed by server 2 from server 1 then transcoded to MPG2 and recorded back onto server 1 as MVPnumber.mpg.
This is then streamed by the MVP from Server1
There is a bottleneck on server 1, especially when recording another programme, as it is handling 4 simultaneous file transfers, causing glitching on the playout file and preventing the frontend server transcoding as fast as it needs to keep up
Is there a way to specify the temporary transcode directory as it works extremely fast when the files are played/transcoded only on the front-end server
