I just picked up a MAgnavox MWD7006 at walmart for $40.
It has so far played back all of my Xvid files from a DVD-r.
The only thing I noticed was that video files with a width less than 640 pixels showed black lines on either side of the picture.
The player doesn't scale to full screen.
I mainly picked this up because my Brother needed a means to play DVD's & .Avi files on his plasma & didn't want a full PC in his living room.
He's got so many zoom functions I doubt he will have border issues.
I'm now thinking about one of these for the bedroom, however I mainly used AutoGK on my DVD collection & let it pick the video resolution, therefore a good portion of my rips are less than 640 pixels in width.
Bars on either side of a movie will just bother me.
I'd rather put a PC in there than re-encode my DVD's.
Does anyone use a Divx type player & if so which one?
And does it scale up to fill the screen?
