Newbie here with one small problem. When changing channels to a low number(ie:21) the signal recieved by my STB(dish network 301) is 30. Any number above 100 works fine, and i can tune to any channel with the IR blast config(hauppague wintv pvr150). Any help would be greatly appericiated.

It sounds like the Hauppauge IR Blaster software isnt quite blasting the digits correctly.

I think there is an option to force IR blaster to send 3 digits every time and with 0 prepadding for 2 digits channels. Hopefully it helps to send the correct channel.

Thanks for the quick responce. Ive tried the prepadding with the same results. It seems there have been many different codeset numbers used in the in the Hauppauge IR Blaster config. for this model of STB. Ive tried all of them and only one (0136) will work. I think the Hauppauge IR Blaster software is working correctly as i can change to all channels during its setup. Any other places to look?

occasionally my blaster misfires as well, no pattern though. so when wife has very important program to tape, I also program the receiver itself to change channels a minute later as a backup. since most of her shows are on a regular schedule, this isn't as inconvenient as you might think.

so if you infrequently record that channel or you can schedule it in your receiver itself, try that as a work-around.

The problem i had was with the EPG from zap2it. The "local" channels on the dish EPG were having two source channels listed.
