I've rummaged in docs, but am missing something perhaps obvious.

I have the 350 and the latest GBPVR version, and the 350 remote.

I'd like to record with closed captions (US) enabled, but don't need them myself.

I've not found how to toggle them real-time, if they are enabled at recording. I can turn display on or off in config though.

Also, I'd like to watch in full screen mode (either the "new" one or via VMR*), but as I don't have a second monitor set up, popping back to windowed mode would be handy- but again the shortcut (remote or keyboard) eludes me.

Thanks for help, sorry if it it obvious and I missed it.

Unfortunately there isnt anyway to turn them off. GB-PVR doesnt really have any built in CC support. I'm not in a country that uses this system, so its not something I've ever really looked into.

Alt-Enter does this.

How do you toggle to full screen via mouse? There's always the window bar at the top.

You cant. You need to press Alt-Enter to do this.

Ah, OK.

So the best/only way for me to have cc for some programs for other users is to enable cc capture via the Hauppauge tweek utility/gvpvr config (I forget if it needed enabled by both) then toggle display in config (with a restart of gbpvr if need be each time)? I don't see a way to enable the capture at record time just for certain programs (and recording them always and displaying them upon need is definitely more useful/versatile).

Super, thanks. Is that on the wiki somewhere? I tried a few keyword searches before asking...

And one more thing, should I be able to configure a button for alt-enter on the remote?

If so, where to start?

If you use the software drivers that come with the Hauppauge remote, then you can edit c:\windows\irremote.ini. In the [GB-PVR] section:
; Pictures button toggles full screen; was {f5} to view Pictures 7Feb07JA
PICTURES={alt}{enter}
I also wanted remote control over aspect ratio, so I added:
; Change aspect ratio 18Jan07JA
SUBCC={f7}
As always, save your old irremote.ini file before you edit, and "Restart IR" afterwards.

Thanks for the reply, I found a button on my hauppauge remote to toggle fullscreen, this will be fine.

Yes, use the Hauppauge tweek utility to capture CC and enable CC in GBPVR config to play it back. I always restart GBPVR with each config change. I don't really know if it is necessary. You cannot enable recording of CC just for certain shows, but that is ok. You can disable display of CC by using another playback codec such as Nvidia and reenable with Intervideo. That is how I turn CC on and off.

What about using mpg2srt, and then using the srt viewer?
EDIT: Dvasco, I saw your post about the roll up problem. Hopefully a fix will be found.
