I was given a WinTV-PVR-150 MCE edition card for Christmas and come to find out through searching forums and other internet sources that the remote will not work with GB-PVR out of the box.

I went out and purchased another WinTV-PVR-150 Standard edition and was wondering if I could use both of the cards in GB-PVR without any problems.

Thanks,
Carl

Yes you can do it very easily. You only need one remote to run everything on GBPVR. GBPVR will just select one of the cards to do the task you want to do, depending on what channels and inputs you have configured on them. Sub made it automagic! You do have to select the remote source when you configure each card. The WIKI has all the directions.

I hope this is ok to ask my question in this thread (it relates to having two different 150 cards).

I've just installed the regular 150 and the 150mce cards in my system and before I start filling the system up with the wrong drivers and software can someone post which set should be used please.

I use the same driver for both cards. But it has been so long that I am not sure which package I installed. The driver I am currently using is 2.0.43.24103 but I know there are newer ones. Search 150 driver on this site and I am sure you will find more info.

I use the same driver (24108) for both cards also. There is a timeline corruption issue that crops up and you will need to apply the registry fix that addresses this.
reference this entry on the wiki.

There are newer drivers than 24108 available but I don't know if they have the timeline corruption problem or whether the registry fix will work with them.

The 24108 drivers were the latest drivers for quite a while and work well. You have to apply the timeline corruption fix.

If you want to go with the latest drivers then reference this thread for where to find them. I haven't upgraded to these yet because 24108 has been very stable in my system.
