Is there a plugin for use with my MVP that is as simple to use as the standard video browser but could highlight videos (avis from video camera) that have been played? say by maybe something simple like changing the text colour of videos that hae been played?

cheers

The video archive plug-in will mark viewed videos different (depending upon the skin). I think it is easy to use, but ease of use is in the eyes of the beholder.

Recordings2 is just what you need...it displays a little bar below the filename whose length is how much you've seen of that show..Smile
at a glance you'll be able to see how much of all your recordings have been watched...
looks alot like the video library screen also..Smile
look for it on the wiki...
the burning part isn't the best but can be made to work...

Thanks that looks exactly what I want, will it work for videos not recorded by GBPVR, like my Video camera Avis? How would I go about doing that?

Thanks

No the recordings viewer only plays recordings from the recordings database.

you could import your avi's into the database by creating an xml import file basd on the import-recordings.xml file you have in your gbpvr folder.

alternatively, my videos (no longer supported but works fine) will change the colour of any files (not just recordings) that you have already partially/viewed. However, it no longer appears to be on the wiki.

Would it be possible for you to point me in the right direction for doing this please?

actually there is a better way of doing it. This utlity will create the xml file for you (I thought that it only did mpg files).

You can edit the file that it creates before importing it into gbpvr (using the config.exe program) you can add your own descriptions for the shows.

let us know how you get on or if you need any help
