Please help! I am a newbie and have found this freeware gb-pvr program that I hoped would solve the problems I have experienced with my Hauppagge HVR 1300 DVB-T software. That crashes regularly and stutters so I checked out the alternatives through Google and found this!

I downloaded the software and installed, then tried to configure for my TV card. Only the analogue element showed up on the config screens so then had to change the BDA data to match my card. Got that sorted, then had to find the XMTL Guide software and download and configure that.

Did that then tried to configure gb-pvr - all fine until I hit the "Map digital channels to EPG channels" key. Initialises fine then starts to scan channel 1 of 57. At 9 it picks up a fair number with quality showing at 100%, then moves on to channel 10 and freezes/crashes and I have to Ctrl Alt Del to get out of it.

PLEASE HELP AS I AM SO CLOSE!!

Thanks in advance

Zip and attach the logs and I'll take a look.

Sorry, can you walk me through that process? Is it just a case of zipping all the files in the program files\devnz\gbpvr\logs folder. If so, once zipped, how do I send them?

See the sticky 'posting support questions' post for info about doing this.

I'm not really sure. I'm guessing it doesnt like something in the mux that is on that 10th frequency (T:C22,482000,0,0,8). I'm not sure what that might be though.

You could try editing you .ini file to temporarily skip that 10th frequency by editting the appropriate ini file in c:\program files\devnz\gbpvr\bda\dvb-t. You'd probably have to change the frequency rather than removing the line entirely.

Hi sub,

I really appreciate you looking at this for me.

You say look in that 10th frquency file. Is that 0010.ini as the contents of that are........

[TERTYPE]
1=Finland
2=Karigasniemi
[DVB]
0=3
1=C38,610000,0,0,8
2=C50,706000,0,0,8
3=C49,698000,0,0,8

........and that doesn't match your (T:C22,482000,0,0,8) comment?

Once you get me to the right file can you suggest what to enter in the above format as well? Thanks for all this.

Its not 0010.ini, but rather the "10=T:C22,482000,0,0,8" line of whatever .ini file you're using. Maybe 0000.ini.
