best usb device

hey, im new here but have been using gbpvr for a while on other pcs....im moving to a laptop for college though and need to switch to a usb tuner. im wondering whats the best one? im looking at the following and it seems good. i love happuage and its native support with gbpvr but i was wondering if i have overlooked a better one, thanks!!

also...seeing as its a laptop, its small on hd space. i have a huge (360 gig) external hd and im wondering what the best course of action is: should i record to the main hd and then transfer it to the external one or is i possible to record straight to the external drive?

That looks like a good one but the one thing you would have to make sure of if you want to use it with GB-PVR is that it has a hardware decoder. I have a pinnacle HDTV Pro stick and it will view both standard and high definition channels but requires software decryption so it does not work for analogue with GB-PVR. I have been extremely happy with the digital side of things however.
