Anyone know if Hauppauge will be doing PCI Express, i am upgrading hardware but all now are PCI E only boards, i dont want to have to get a case and board JUST to support the PVR150 board... ????
Many Thanks

I think their only PCI E board is the HVR1800? I'm sure there will be more to follow soon.

If I were buy a PCI E motherboard though, I'd definitely be buying one with a mix of PCI-E and PCI slots. Nearly all PCI-E boards have at least a couple of regular old PCI slots.

Except the one i want (AOPEN XC Cube EU965) only has 2 slots, both PCI E, i'm getting the foot print of PCs down, was burning over UK £400 a quarter in electric, so doing things like sleep mode and the XC Cubes are almost silent and do what i need them to do.

Will look at the HVR1800, i do like the PVR150 board but if the HVR is ok then mind do it.....
Many Thanks

Completed the checking the 1800 is USA only part with NTSC, all other products are PCI...

Might need to rethink this but i really dont want to stay with the PC i have due to the amount of money its burning... Sad
Many Thanks

The other option is external, like the Hauppauge PVR USB2. Having an appendage hanging from your new box is a more ugly solution though.

Or look at the ATI-650. They come in a PCI-E format.

Forgive me my ignorance: does pci-e use less energy, or .........?
