I find myself typing in a query to find a certain film for many days until it is finally found in the EPG. What I would find very useful is to set up a search that would look everyday automatically and if it is ever found, schedule the program. Everything could be setup from the initial search, IE type of recording etc. Just keep looking automatically until a station finally broadcasts the show. A keep looking, until found search.

What if the search returns several entries (or several times)?

That's a good question. How about an option to schedule all entries with a unique program ID, or an option to schedule the program with the first available tuner.

That sounds like a lot of work.

How about just setting up a repeating search, and instead of having to do repeated individual searches by hand, you go to (yet-another-sub-menu) it shows you the results for all of the stored searches at that time, and you can work out the scheduling on your own?

I'd find that an excellent feature, anyway! Since we have 2 weeks lead time on anything new, you'd just have to check once a week. With a scheduled-automatically approach, you'd have to be checking conflicts once a week, anyway, so you aren't gaining much in terms of predictable scheduling by making it automatic.

Check the latest EWA, released today, it has a automatic-search-record feature.

What he said. It is EXACTLY what I needed and I think it is what you are after. IMO this is a major "like WOW!" improvement of EWA and GBPVR.

Yeah I saw that. That is too cool. I've been waiting for that for a long time.
