See http://gbpvr.com/pmwiki/pmwiki.php/Plugin/VideoArchive

This version fixes various bugs reported in the previous test release (although I may not have gotten them all and may have introduced new ones). It also includes a periodic check of the wiki site to see if a newer version has been posted, so you will receive a popup message when an update is posted.

Also, in this version I have rewritten the way the list of pending shows is managed by the commongbpvrutilities.dll library to use less memory. The changes are not backwards compatible, so if you use the showsearch plug-in you'll need an update to it as well. A new version of show search is included with this test release.

Jeff, happy to see a new release. It means that you have your hardware back on track. So far I have not found any "new" bugs but my previously reported bug about director and writer not beeing downloaded is still present.

Attaching part of my DL log for your to look at if you find the time.

Thanks again.

Good point. Since this was in the Video archive thread I thought it was self explanatory, but when searching for new posts in all threads it might people get too excited thinking the next GBPVR release was out.\

Jeff, glad you've posted a new test version. In previous versions, pressing 0 would give you a dialog box asking if you wanted to clear the viewed status. In the test versions, this isn't working (for me, at least). I now get a cursor indicator at the top of the screen. I liked that feature. Did you intentionally remove it, or is this a bug?

Thanks!

I moved it. Now you can get this by selecting the recording and going to the dialog where you have the option to play or delete it. If you press the menu button when displaying this dialog you will see a list of choices, one of which is to toggle the viewed attribute.

I've found and fixed the problem related to director name; it will be in the next build. Writer information is not fetched at all at the moment. I'll add this to my "to do" list.

Jeff,

Simple Q for you: If VA is NOT checked as the default Video Plugin, will it still automatically AutoArchice after the (non-zero) period you set in the config?

The archiving is controlled by running the ArchiverUtility.exe program daily. By default he plug-in replaces your PostUpdateEPG.bat file so that this is done after each EPG update. The default video plugin setting tells GBPVR which plug-in to run when you press the videos button on your remote control.
