Well, I can see program data now, so I know that's not the problem. Here's an interesting bit from the log:

Hauppauge WinTV PVR PCI II Crossbar

2007-06-07 21:15:24.859 VERBOSE Hauppauge WinTV PVR PCI II TvTuner

2007-06-07 21:15:24.875 VERBOSE ConnectPins: 'Analog Audio' to 'TVAudio In'
2007-06-07 21:15:24.906 VERBOSE ConnectPins: 'Audio Decoder Out' to 'Analog Audio In'
2007-06-07 21:15:24.922 VERBOSE ConnectPins failed: hr = 80040217
2007-06-07 21:15:24.922 ERROR Failed to connect pinNameCrossbarAudioDecoderOut to pinNameCaptureAnalogAudioIn
2007-06-07 21:15:24.922 VERBOSE getSetting(PreferredAudioDecoder)
2007-06-07 21:15:24.938 VERBOSE put_Mode(AMTUNER_MODE_TV)
2007-06-07 21:15:24.953 VERBOSE put_CountryCode(1)

All I get is a blank screen when I select live tv.

Also, I changed my channel lineup in zap2it to be the non-digital variety as someone suggested in my previous plea for help.

Using Windows Vista
Hauppauge 350

Thanks,

Tom

anyone?

Is my problem so obvious to everyone else that I'm a moron for not figuring it out myself? Do I need to re-install the 350, or Vista (ugh)? I have an older computer running XP, that I'll try it on if I can't get it going in Vista.

I want to get a MediaMVP, but won't until I get this working.

I did look at this, but couldnt see any obvious cause. I dont think the error message above would have stopped video. We can check though - please run filtercheck, then zip and attach the filtercheck.log it produces: http://forums.gbpvr.com/showpost.php?p=1...ostcount=6

If you're running a version of Vista with MCE, have you tried stopping the MCE services?

stopping the media center services has no apparent affect. All I get is a blank screen / no sound. I'll keep poking around, I have a feeling it's still vista related somehow.

I've attached the filtercheck log for you to examine.

Just figured it out right after posting. I turned off User Account Control and voila! it works.

I just upgraded to the latest GBPVR. SchedulesDirect is set up and working properly. The guide results display appropriately in GBPVR.

I have a Hauppauge PVR 150MCE video card which worked fine with prior versions of GBPVR. If I run the tuning assistant and select the 150MCE card, I get a message that says "ConnectPins failed". I then get a message that says "Failed to connect pinNameCrossbarAudioDecoderOut to pinNameCaptureAnalogAudioIn". As soon as those error messages are cleared, the tuner begins cycling through and finding the appropriate cable channels and seems to complete the tuning process without any additional errors.

I cannot view any Live TV and when I select a show from the schedule by clicking on the "Watch" button, no video is displayed. I've run the filtercheck and attached the log file.

I have no clue what could be wrong. WinXP Pro under an Administrator account, all latest patches applied.

Its actually normal to get this pin connect error in your logs with a PVR150. Just ignore it.

Reproduce the problem, then zip and attach the logs and I'll take a look.
