Hello,

I've recently tried out comskip and found it highly useful. However, I have a bit of a problem. I've set comskip to run in the parallelprocessing.bat file so that it runs while the recording is occuring.

However, this leads to a problem. Comskip keeps running for a few seconds after the end of the recording. This means that when postprocessing.bat is called, with things (mainly renamerecording) in it, they fail, because the file is still in use.

Is there any way to be able to get postprocessing to pause a minute before doing it, or any other way around this?

Thanks in advance

you could use the sleep command:

The best solution would be to run everything from parallelprocessing.bat. Comskip will keep the other things from running until it is done processing.

Thanks for the replies,

Unfortunately having it all done in parallelprocessing isn't completely possible as not all channels I record from have adverts at all so not all run Comskip.

I will give the sleep command a try. I was hoping for something like this and even thinking of it, but in the past I had tried to find one with no luck. The best I could find were workarounds, which unfortunately used a lot of CPU while "sleeping". Luckily, I tried out the sleep command, and it seems I picked one up as a result of cygwin. Thanks for the idea Smile

Afaik the postprocessing.bat won't start until parallelprocessing.bat is finished. I think you could start comskip with the start /wait command. Then the batchfile won't finish until comskip is finished.
Take a look here for the start-command syntax:
