Hi
After several years running Gbpvr on windows 2000 I thougt it was time to move to a newer PC and run it on windows XP.
However, i cannot figure out why I cannot install the GBpvr software.

When I try, I get this error:

Fatal error
Installation ended prematurely because of an error.

My windows installation is a fresh installed XP pro. In addition to XP I have installed:

Drivers for Hauppauge PVR-150
dot net 2.0 redist.
Direct X 9
XP codec pack
Hauppauge WinTV2000

With wintv2000 I have verified that the PVR-150 card is working.

Downloaded .NET 2 framework again and repaired the first .Net installation.

Did I miss anything? Can anybody help me to figure out what I am doing wrong?

I believe you also need .NET version 1 -- each of the versions are separate, not cumulative.

Thanks for the advice. Today I uninstalled .NET 2.0, installed .NET 1.1 and then .NET 2.0. To be sure that everything is working, I rebooted the PC before installing GBpvr. Reinstalling .NET did not help, I still cannot install GBpvr.
Any other suggestions? Is there any logfile in windows where I could find a hint about the reason. GBpvr is not yet installed, so there is no logfile there.

You can check control panel (for windows, that is) and then "administrative tools" and "event viewer" to see if there are any errors in any of the windows' logs...

Thanks for all the advices.
My XP installation disk must be rather old. Installation of SP2 and 75 updates made the difference. Now GBPVR is installed.
