I was watching My Name Is Earl last night, with GBPVR set not to use Live Preview mode, so always using time-shifting. It was a particularly funny episode, so I hit record and GBPVR popped up the "record to end of program" dialog, and I hit Record. So far so good. The only problem is that I've just got in to work & VNC'd in to work to grab the log files for another program, and found that the recording service status says it's still recording. The GBPVR UI seemed blissfully ignorant of this, and stopping the recording service & restarting it has fixed things up, but I now have a 10-hour recording!

This is with GBPVR 0.99.12 with most of the "survival guide" patches applied, plus the replacement non-crashy-in-the-UK-with-dodgy-DVB-T-reception PsiParser.ax.

here you go...

fyi, I realised that I've also seen this the previous evening, recording "Death Race 2000"... (ahem), which ran to a 7Gb file, having been interrupted by the replacement of my mains distribution board yesterday morning.

LOL.

I recently did a short contract for the IT department of a school. The department was expecting a new member of staff and were re-fitting an old storeroom as an office. The electrician was very careful not to turn off any circuits that fed the main server room but shortly after he switched off the circuit for the main IT office so he could run a new spur, the Helpdesk started to receive calls...

It turned out the main office also fed a spur next door to the main switch rack, i.e., he'd just 'switched off' the Gigabit Ether backbone. Ooops!

Cheers,
Brian

The replacement was planned. The debugging the entire lighting main (no earth on the first floor, and low impedance between live & neutral...) and then having to wade through my lodger's assorted crud trying to find the mains outlets in his room to test that circuit weren't. Tongue
