The last 2 days I have not been able to connect to http://labs.zap2it.com/ to check my acct or download the data at 6AM as usual.

I guess it's all over now?!

This is the error from my xmltv.log:
Fetching from DataDirect: Fetched 0 k/bytes in 22 seconds
##################################################
loading data:
WARNING: error parsing DD xml:

They've been down before. It would be pretty low/petty to just cut it two months early w/o even a post.

What seems to be the best tool to use to get listings? I mean, what will ultimately be incorporated in GBPVR as the "default method."

The tools I have seen in the forums appear to be grabbers that have to be run regularly. Is there nething more automatic?

I can't seem to get an EPG update either. But, if they said Sept. 1, I doubt they'd kill it off early. I'm sure it's a temporary thing and will be working soon.
However, I was able to log into my account just now so maybe it'll be back soon.

There is lots of xmltv grabbers starting to appear. These produce xmltv files that GB-PVR can use. None of these methods will be directly incorporated into GB-PVR due to their "shady" legality.

I am aware of at least one 'pay for listings' scheme that will likely be available before then. I'll most likely build support for that service to give users the easiest option, but they're also free to use these xmltv grabbers. Choice and all that...

I dont advise anybody to make any changes until the zap2it cut off gets a bit closer and things settle down.

So it appears that the option to be eventually incorporated into GBPVR is going to be a pay for listings service?
