For a long time I have been using an irremote.ini full of lines like this:

BACK={findwnd(WindowsForms10.Window.8.app.0.33c0d9d,GB-PVR)}{SendMsg(32771,223,0)}

I tried changing the window class and window title to reflect the new values in PVRX2.exe, thus:

BACK={findwnd(WindowsForms10.Window.8.app.0.378734a,PVRX2)}{SendMsg(32771,223,0)}

But without success. What am I missing?

Oh, yes. Is there any way to make the menu in the task bar (Start GB-PVR) start the new interface rather than the old?

Apart from that, it's looking good.

Hmm, I suspect you might need to use message 32775.

Someone pointed that out yesterday and I've fixed it for next release.

I've amended my ini file but it hasn't solved the problem.


Another difference I've noticed is one can now run more than one instance of GBPVR.

I've noticed this too when I spent a couple of hours last night trying to get my remote working again with PVRX2. Previously I had GB-PVR shutting down once the computer came out of standby, then restarting again (needed to get FSE to work properly). Occasionally this would mean I lost focus which could be fixed by pressing the "run GB-PVR" button on the remote.

However, with the new version that doesn't work as it results in 2 versions of PVRX2 running and confusing things.

Sub is there any way of stopping more than one instance of the app running? As mentioned, previous behaviour was that trying to run it again would merely shift focus to the existing instance.

Thats odd, I cant reproduce this here. Trying to start a second instance of PVRX2 from the shortcut just shows the first instance.

What about my original problem with SendMsg?

The codes sent with those messages should match those returned by this utility:

Those being Virtual Key codes.

What was working before was eg. for 'Down' sending a WM_APP+3 (32771) message with a wParam of 225. VK_DOWN = 40. Unfortunately I have no idea what message 32771 was but I can see no relationship between the wParams that were working before and VK codes.
