There was an issue in the previous version with FSE where the screen was left corrupt after GBPVR exited.

This is still happening to me but is now very intermittant. I have tried and failed to find a sequence of events that will always cause the problem. I found nothing that will reliably recreate the problem.

For example, the attached logs show instances where I have started PVRX2, selected a menu item and exited. I got a normal exit and when I repeat the actions, I get a corrupted exit.

I have noticed that something appears to flash up on the screen after exit is selected on the menu. It flashes too fast for me to see what it is. I noticed something similar in the previous version. Is there something about the exit routine that causes something to be displayed? It may be that this is the source of the problem.

I've been getting this too - I exit in FSE mode and the menu image is left on my screen as if its the wallpaper. I usually go back in and exit again and its fine. Interestingly so far if I hit the power button on my remote (programmed to send ALT-F4) to quit instead of going through the menu it hasn't every left the image beind but that may be coincidence. I find the menu animations much smoother in FSE mode and it means its always in the foreground so I like running in FSE mode.

Anyone else getting this?

Sorry, I'm aware of this problem. Several XP users have this problem. It doesnt seem to happen on Vista.

I spent lots of time trying to find a fix or workaround in the past, but eventually gave up. (yes, sounds like it'd be easy to fix, but its not...)

Sorry this is mostly off topic but does Alt-F4 or Alt-F12 actually quit GB-PVR? Assigning Alt-F4 to the remote doesn't work for me (nothing happens) and assigning Alt-F12 gets some very odd behaviour whereby pressing Alt-F12 on the main menu does nothing, but in any sub menu eg videos, it makes all the text disappear. Pressing it again makes it re-appear.

I use Alt-F4 for closing GB-PVR all the time. I've never heard of Alt-F12,

Hmm strange. Alt-F4 is 100% working outside the app for closing windows, other apps etc, but inside GBPVR it just doesn't do anything at all. I've even tried using the 32775 code for Alt-F4 but still nothing.

If you start PVRX2, then press Alt-F4 on the keyboard, does it not close the app?

Yes it's fine with the keyboard, it's only the remote that doesn't seem to work. And as I mentioned I know I've got the irremote.ini setup correctly because the keypress/button works in other apps.

By default GB-PVR doesnt configure the remote to send Alt-F4, so I can only assume whatever you've added to send this is not doing it correctly, after all its supposed emulate the keystrokes which you know works.
