I've only just tried your program for the first time (v1.08), downloaded it this morning.

Unfortunately when I install it, then tell it which card I have (a Leadtek DTV1000T) and then try to scan the channels, bang, I get an error every time. There are 8 transport streams available to me and it seems to choke on the sixth.

I've looked through the forums and I can't find any other posts related to this issue on this card. I found one other post about scanning errors, but the solution doesn't appear to apply to me. I've had no issues with other software using the same card/machine.

I've rar'd up that scan error message, along with all the the logs (it's a new install, there weren't many) and a dxdiag report, hopefully you can make some sense out of it all? (It's about 60k and I've already PM'd you the link to grab it) Not much else I can think to post, I haven't even got the thing to run yet Smile

cheers

I deleted your message when asked you to post the question on the forums rather than sending me a PM.

I sent you a new PM with the url to the archive that has the logs, the dxdiag of that machine and the full capture of the error as reported by gbpvr.

Looking at the forums, its lookin like the new version is havin big issues huh.

Sorry, but what part of "zip and attach the files" arent you getting? I know you probably sent me the attachment because you found you couldnt attach your .rar file, but I limited the forum to attachments to .zip files because this is the only type of archive I want people to post. I dont use winrar.

Good lord, did you get up on the wrong side of the bed or what?

What's wrong with Winrar? I know you said zip it, but that's a generic term where I come from, like biro. I wasn't aware you were being pedantic, sorry. To normal folk the difference between the formats is nil, anyway. What's wrong with grabbing the file from a url, instead of me attaching it to a message? If anything, I'm saving you money by not using up your bandwidth more than I need to. That, my dear sir, is exactly why I uploaded it to my own webspace for you to fetch when you required it, instead of attempting to ram it through as an attach. I see you ask others to upload files to a url for you to grab all the time!

Anyhow...
I don't know who upset you, but I really don't see why you need to take it out on me. All I've done is ask a question and tried to approach it in as civil and un-annoying way as I can. My apologies for being thoughtful. I'd have gotten straight back on this but I've had to look after my very elderly father, who is in hospital after having an operation, so pardon my tardiness, won't you?

I'll repack it and attach it, hopefully that will make your day and we can carry on like adults from here?

Jeez Louise...

Excuse me? Did you actually read the thread? The bloke may write the best program on earth, but that doesn't mean he can talk to people like a petulant teenager. I'd done nothing to be spoken to so rudely. Thanks for your contribution though, it's been helpful. Rolleyes

Now, the real reason I came back was to post a transport stream list, since the scan is choking. It always seems to generate an error about stream 6. I don't know if it will be any help, but it can't hurt I guess? (not sure on that anymore)

I understand that he's doing this as a labour of love and respect that, I'm sure it's great software if you can get it to run. Unfortunately I can't and I don't believe I need to be insulted on that basis alone.
