To watch Live TV (DVB-T) sourced from a PCI Hauppauge HVR 4000 card (or similar) in one XP Pro PC (Or Vista) across my wireless N network.

Or is there something out there already?

After that little job it would be really cool to have a media server with a more than one card, maybe even duel tuners so that more than one channel can be viewed across a network (Bandwidth permitting!)

It does what you want out of the box.
Wireless bandwidth may be a problem with multiple wireless clients though. I have three tuners, two DVB-T and one analogue for Sky and can watch all over the house and garage.

You could also use the Enhance Web Admin. Just click on a program in the TV Guide from EWA and choose 'Stream now'. It uses VLC to stream to your client.

just select the gbpvr directory of the server

make sure you have shared the gbpvr folder

ie \\Lounge\gbpvr (where server is the name of the server i call my one "Lounge")

im sure the docs used to be on the wiki but its seems to have gone missing
so just keep asking questions or use the search tool at the top

i find file sharing better than streaming but try each one
live tv has never worked well for me but i normally record first then watch
if you are using wireless dont hold your breath at getting the live tv working many people have tried and not been able to get it going properly

Guess I should have figured that out. Was not sure if there was extra configuration on the server side without the documentation. Got it going though... Thanks...

One question how good does live tv work with wireless media-mvp
