I think it would be cool to be able to enable GBPVR to regularly upload error and usage data to a central server.
This may be useful for Sub to see what features people are using most, most common hardware profiles etc.
If some or all of this data was made available it would also allow a plug-in to be written which would make Amazon-like reccomendations. e.g. GBPVR users who recorded "Hobbits Gone Wild" also recorded "Allblacks vs. Osperys".
This would be a good replacement for the only feature Tivo has that GBPVR does not, their "Tivo reccomends" functionality.
I know a lot of people don't like software that calls home but as long as it's easy to opt out in config, I dont see how it could be a problem.
