I've just uploaded the latest beta. It can be downloaded from http://www.gbpvr.com/Setup010.exe.
There has been a lot of changes in this release. From the change log:
2003-1-19 v0.10
- Overhaul of underlying playback code for videos and music. Now reusing graphs correctly.
- Moved from using the Hauppauge File Reader filter to my own reader.
- Implemented OSD for Overlay Mixer. Colours are opaque as Overlay Mixer doesn't perform alpha blending. A bit ugly - should be you last choice. Go with VMR9 unless you have a good reason.
- Some changes to the 'resume' handling. Was occasionally pausing the video, but not making the message visible on the screen (looked like a hang until you pressed a key). Now seems to work ok, other than painting the background blue when the first resume message is shown. This doesn't seem to occur after the first time. Not sure why...
- Corrected playback using Hauppauge Intervideo NonCSS mpeg decoder.
- Now auto detecting the channel number from the xmltv file. Not always possible as file format is different for different regions. Many regions dont have channel numbers.
- On the manual recordings screen, you can now enter any time at all for start and end time.
- Automatically importing EPG at 3:00am if the machine is running. Will also execute UpdateEPG.bat from gbpvr directory if it exists (prior to update). You can also still use the 'Update EPG' button to do it manually. Time may be configurable in later release.
- Some improvements to LiveTV stability. Worlds slowest channel change - so be patient it probably hasn't hung. Some mpeg decoders perform channel change faster than others. The speed will improve in future release. I'm also looking at providing a non buffered LiveTV for those that live to channel surf. This would mean a quick channel change, but no pause ability.
- Custom tasks now working. PVR350 will show fake desktop (if you're running 32bit color desktop), but you wouldnt want to do too much with it... Dont even think about playing video or dvds through this fake desktop - its way too slow.
- Now correctly playing to the end of files with PVR350. Was previously skipping the last few secconds.
- Fixed a memory leak with PVR350 tv out functionality.
- Fixed a deployment issue with the USB-UIRT plugin.
You'll need to uninstall any existing GB-PVR installation before installing this release.
