Hi, i just updated to the new versions and was having some issues:

1
When i go to watch live tv it starts auto-buffering automatically. Is that now normal behavior, and if so, is there a setting I can be turned back off?

2
When I watch tv or videos/recordings, I have NO volume. I haven't tried music yet. I figured out it was turning the wave volume completely down (not muting). Has any one else had this problem, and is there a way to fix it pre-next update.

3
When i installed/unzipped my usual plug-ins, they didn't show up under the plug-ins tab. Is there a compatibility issue?

And last but not least, do I need to roll back to the old version for a bit longer if I need full functionality back?

you can just use the gbpvr.exe and should work as it used to no need to roll back

The default settings dont do this (unless you're using an MVP). Check you have 'use live preview mode' ticked in the config app.

If this is ticked, but you still think its writing to disk, then zip and attach the logs and I'll take a look.

This is most likely related to the audio decoder you're using. What one do you have selected on the playback tab of the config app? Dont leave it set to 'system default'.

To a forum search, there is plenty of info on this. Basically plugins need to be moved to a subdirectory for compatibility with this major new release. This will make installation and removal of plugins much cleaner in the future. Short term pain, long term gain and all that.

Thanx for the quick reply sub, auto buffering is cleared up (wasn't checked for some reason).

As far as the audio, I changed to the following setting:
Audio Dec: MPEG Audio Decoder
Audio Renderer: Realtek AC97 Audio
(Haup WinTV PVR 250, XP Pro)

They were on system default. Same thing happens, but when volume is changed on keyboard knob, wvae volume jumps form all the way down to where it was last set, I can here it. I can't use the Haup. 45 btn remote to do this volume change (irremote.ini said they were mapped to "+" and "-")

Any suggestions? can post logs if needed.

Best to stay away from 'system default' since it tells windows to pick some random decoder. Its too easy for you default decoders to change when you install/uninstall/change other apps on your machine which you think will have no effect. We've seen this hundreds of times.

Did you click the 'fix hauppauge remote settings' button after upgrading to v1.0.8? It has a few changes to this file.

I did, but I just remembered I restored back over it because I had some custom stuff for other programs on it. I just tried now, but the same problem. if i adjust master volume via system tray, nothing. I have to either open full volume control and reset wave volume very time, or use my system volume knob on my keyboard (which mysteriously fixes it)
