Hi.

For sometime I have problems watching livetv, sometime i get it to work by changing the Video renderer many times, but thats very annoying.
In VMR7 or 9/custom I get black screen, in overlay manager i get grey screen, no problem with sound.

Is there something that might conflicts with the software?

Thx
System specs:
Win7, Intel Dual Core 2.40GHz, 4GB Ram, GeForce 8800 GTS 640 MB, Asus P5B-PLUS Mobo.
Hauppauge PVR500 dual tuner.

Update:
But if I first goes in the videolibrary and watch a video for a couple of seconds and then back in LiveTV it works fine.
But as soon i close down the program and starts it again i must do that again.

Is this in PVRX2.exe or GBPVR.exe?

so what settings did work for you in the past?

Might be an idea to reproduce the problem and upload all the log files so that "someone" can take a look.

you could quickly try running re-register filters from the gbpvr menu.

[edit] TWO posts in the time it took me to write this piffling reply .... geez!

I tried both to start from scratch (nothing in tray) and both does the same, black or grey screen, but if I watch a recording or video from library and then back to livetv then it works.

What video decoder do you have selected on the playback tab of the config app?

Does bringing up the OSD fix the problem? ie, pressing Ctrl-B on the keyboard?

I tried to do a re-register of filters but no luck.
Can't remember what i used in past.

When tray icon is "on" and i close down the GB-PVR (tray still on), and then i starts GBPVR again and go livetv it doesn't work, black screen. Must again go in and watch a recording and then back in LiveTV.

Using CyberLink Video/SP Decoder (PDVD7).
CyberLink powerDVD 7.3 is installed.

And nope bringing up the OSD does not help, i can see the OSD, but no video.

Reproduce the black/grey screen thing, then zip and attach the logs and I'll see if I can see anything.

Ok i'll do that.

Just for info, if i have black screen and then i briefly watch a video in PowerDVD and then start LiveTV it lso works.
Like if needs some triggering to start.

Be right back with log.
