Hello.

If I watch a program in livetv and then I want to record the program using the CTRL+K buttons.
Is it possible to stop the recording while still in livetv directly whit a key button?
Cause now I have to go out of the livetv, choose recordings, choose pendings and the cancel the recording program.

Or did I missed something?
I looked in the Keyboard Reference at the GBPVR documentation page.

Thanks
System specs:
Win7, Intel Dual Core 2.40GHz, 4GB Ram, GeForce 8800 GTS 640 MB, Asus P5B-PLUS Mobo.
Hauppauge PVR500 dual tuner.

Hi, just wonder if this one-button cancel recording feature can be possible from the Remote (say the stop button)?

Suppose I'm watching a channel in Live TV and I hit the Red record button to record that channel. If I then hit the stop button on the Remote while I'm still on that channel, I can safely say I want to stop recording of the channel I am 'currently watching'.

This is such a common and convenient feature--with this, I don't have to go all the way into Pending Recordings to cancel (go to Main Menu --> Recording--> Pending--> <currently viewing channel> --> Record button again or cancel recording).

I believe many folks would like to see this possible... .

Or maybe pressing record again to toggle? Then a short message 'Are you sure you wish to stop recording this channel?'

Thanks

Sorry, I'd love to have this, but its not as straight forward as you're thinking.

All I can give you is "maybe in a future release".

As always thanks for the time you spend reading these requests and the thought you give them Smile

I guess that once you press the record button the request just gets sent to the recording service and there is not currently any way to tie that request to the application or show that you started to record. So if you have multiple tuners, all recording, then it woudn't know which to stop. Yes, a bit messy to implement.

Its not really related to multiple tuners. Its that you're playing the recording on the screen. If you want to stop that recording, then the file you're playing is going to reach the end. There is nothing to keep playing.

if you select the program from the tvguide when its recording you get a cancel option

i dont think you really want to make it to easy to stop recordings anyway that could cause a devorce or worse

The SlimmGBPVR will do what you want. You can just right click the icon in the tray and choose to stop the recording.
