I had Windows XP SP2 recently installed on my computer by a friend who changed out my hard drive. I used the multiplexer checker and it could not find anything. Shouldn't the microsoft dvr-ms shown up?

If you have XP SP2, then you will have the dvr-ms mux. It's a special case and not listed the same way as the other muxes in muxchecker.

No, DVR-MS will not show up with the mux checker but it should always be installed with XP sp1 or sp2.

Sub, good job, too fast for me again. I'm glad my answer was correct enough that I didn't look stupid and slow Big Grin

Thanks guys.

I thought I was getting a specific message about it outside of the checker, but now I can't remember. I'll have to check when I get home.

The initial installation went well but I get a black screen when I go to watch TV.
