comskip and dvb

Ever since getting a dvb card i have never been able to get a perfect recording from beginning to end
it always glishes at some point (often at between 40 and 45 min toward end of hour show)
i have the 1307 mux which seems to have helped
the thing is cause comskip runs the cpu at close to 100%
is it possible that its causing my problem
i havent yet tested my theory cause i like comskip

i also have a pvr150 and pvr 500 but they are analog with encoder bla bla so they are fine

Its fairly normal for comskip to run at close to 100% CPU usage. Its at a lower priority though, so should cause any glitches in your recording. I'm doing the same thing here without any problems.

ok thats what i needed to know just trying to rule things out
can i ask what your signal and quality strengths are?

The way it is reported will vary from manufacturer to manufacturer, but my FireDTV device reports the following with Freeview:

2007-08-18 15:25:19.838 VERBOSE locked=1 present=1 strength=84 quality=85

I've got 1 meter dish.
