Gives error dialog box "Run-time error '13': Type mismatch" when I click Manual Run, Download Schedule, or on command line with update param. It created a schedule.zip and decompressed it.
NPVR 4.1.0.180302 o Kodi 17.6 o EventGhost 0.5.0.rc4 o SAF 6.3.2 o SchedulesDirect

Thats interesting. Do you have a provider set? If so what is the zip and provider? I'm wondering if you're having the same problems a few others are where the data is corrupt. What size is schedule.zip?

Wakalaka Wrote:Crashes when you click "Get Channels" without selecting a Provider.
Fixed for the next release

Wakalaka Wrote:Doesn't display Provider and selected channels when you run yapi2xml.exe to see the GUI.
True, currently it will just show you the provider code at the bottom. I'm looking to add that but I want to fix all the bugs people are having with duplicate channels and corrupt downloads. It will come though because its hard to modify the channel lineup without it.

New version, with logging so please attach your logs.

From 1.1.1 to 1.1.4

* Added logging in the yapi2xml folder called “yapi2xml_log.txt”
* Advanced file handling so you can have text files in the yapi2xml directory now (just not any of the schedules)
* More error trapping (ref)
* Added 5 second delay and then 5 tries to download the schedule file to prevent bad downloads and nasty errors
* Added more duplicate channels support, currently all duplicates unchecked; listed in the log

I input zip 97124 and Provider Comcast (not the digital one). schedule.zip is 1.41 MB and the txt file in it is 11 MB.

Same error dialog box "Run-time error '13': Type mismatch" occurs with version 1.1.4

I registered a minute ago so I could say THANK YOU.

I've been playing with various pvr programs the past week, and trying to get the xml EPG stuff to work has been the worst part. Just couldn't get it to work and couldn't find a concise how-to. The wiki for YApi2XML is actually the most straight-forward how-to I've seen with an (almost) step-by-step "do this, do this, get this other file from here if you don't have it already," etc. Everything makes more sense after you use them, but when you've never done it even once before it can be rough.

The main solution for people who download the xml guide and then see the channels in GBPVR but don't see any listings was that they had duplicate channels. I had the same problem, channels listed but no descriptions, and the fix was having to remap the channels. I'm using the local cable provider's digital guide but with a digital OTA card, and the channels not matching up was apparently the problem. So, that's another possible solution if someone has channels in the guide but no descriptions.

Thank you to Sub and the rest of the community, of course. I'm still playing around with a couple other PVRs for fun, but that fun is waning since GBPVR is the one I keep coming back to. Minor problems aside, it just plain works. And now the EPG works.

Sure wish I had put this HTPC together last fall instead of running three VCRs. D'oh!

Fixed in version 1.1.5 http://gbpvr.com/pmwiki/pmwiki.php/Utility/YApi2XML

Jewelry TV was listed twice and once it had a blank channel number.

This version downloads the schedule, parses the file, and creates the XML file. Empty my EPG and Updated, it works great! Is it necessary to run I-xmltv on your XML file, or is it redundant?

Can you have it output a string when you run it with the "update" option? I run UpdateEPG.bat and I don't know it's running unless I look at Task Manager and see it sucking up my CPU cycles.

The Yapi2XML fails when there are more channels on one channel(yes, weird and wrong, but look at Zip:21136 Comcast Baltimore County Digital, channels 003,004,005,056,064 have duplicates). I just removed all those from the .ini file completely, but it would be nice to fix that issue.

It's only necessary if you want the enhanced listings. GB-PVR will import the file as is but you will not have things like the new show marker.

This issue is being worked on currently.
