Hello,
The past few days I've been having a bit of a problem with recordings coming out "bad" which I've been unable to explain. The setup has worked fine for ages, and I haven't yet upgraded to the latest version, but nothing at all in the entire setup has changed.
However, I suddenly seem to be losing the ability to record, and I'm not sure if something odd has happened to GB-PVR somewhere, a GB-PVR requirement or component, or whether my Hauppauge USB 2 PVR is dieing.
When I try to record, I seem to have a 50% chance of it working. Either it records as per normal and it all works out fine, or I get a recording that seems to have poor compressed video (very blocky) and has a corrupted soundtrack.
To try to demonstrate the output, I uploaded an example here. (Short due to keeping a low filesize, but it should demonstrate the problem - it never gets better)
I'm not sure what to do or even where to start diangosing the problem. The GBPVRRecordingService log seems fine and usual
Does anyone have any ideas or suggestions on even where to start looking for the problem? They would be greatly appreciated
The problem doesn't seem to occur when using WinTV2000 to test so far, but then again, it doesn't always happen with GB-PVR. There's no problem with the input
Thanks in advance
