No matter what i try i cant seem to record one channel and watch another. I always get the message "no tuners are available"

everything else seems sorted, just want this working now.

just tried configuring one capture source using the 2nd tuner but when starting gbpvr get the mesage "failed to located DBA capture device"
as show:

does this suggest only one tuner is working?

Ace PVR by the way, keep it going

Have you set Device Number to 1 for the first device and 2 for the second device ?

Config -> Capture Sorces -> Edit -> Settings

Good luck

as Graham said, you need the second device type to be the same as the first one, only set device number to 2

[edit] i am completely wrong - I was being too hastly. sorry.

I have T-500 - records two progs simultaneously - just checked my config...

Device Type (from the pull down list) first tuner should be set to:
'Haupp... (1)' - second tuner shoud be set to 'Haupp... (2)'

Device Number - both tuners should be set to number 1

I've just checked as well. As stated - the pulldown device type shoule be (1) and (2) with the Device number 1 on both tuners. The device number is the logical board number, not source.

Have you scanned for channels on both tuners and mapped them - a bore, but it has to be done.

Just modified the config to match your posts.

Selected the same device type (1) and set first one to device number (1) and the seccond to device number (2)

when i try to scan on the second capture device i get the following.

Is there any link to the capture device name,i have one set to "DVB" and one to "DVB-1"

Configure it as ACTCMS described above:

The Device TYPE (drop down list) should end in (1) for the 1st capture source and (2) for the 2nd capture source (otherwise you're trying to use the same tuner for both capture sources which is how you've got it now).

The Device NUMBER should be set to 1 for both capture sources (you currently have the 2nd one set to 2 which is why it can't find it).

Then for each capture source (i.e. you have to do this twice) scan and map channels.

Let us know if you get it working.

i think ya got it backwards...both devices are on 1 board, so both set to device#1, and device type should be different..so gb knows it's a single board with 2 device types on it...
cuz it has to ask for device type #2 [tuner#] on same physical board address [device#1] to address the second tuner...and device type #1 [tuner#1] on device #1 [also same card] to address first tuner..
i hope that makes it a little clearer..

device type: =tuner#
device: =physical card#

EDIT: yea, what he said..Big Grin
