As the clock ticks down on zap2it, I'm wondering what my options are for using I-xmltv. With the new fall season approaching, the WAF will crash if we lose the new show marker. :p

I have a new Schedules Direct account and would like to go straight to that if I-xmltv for SD will be available by 9/1. I've also successfully tested the YahooXmltv with I-xmltv, which I think is the next best option for me.

I guess I'm wondering if Jim_ got an SD account and is hard at work on providing his wonderful utility for it. Big Grin
What, me worry?

have you tried it yet? the last version for zap2it should work, data is supposed to be in same format..
it works great as-is with mce2xml grabber..Smile
yahoo omits some fields so it had to have new ver.

he might need some sample data to make sure it's similar...
and i supposed you'd have to grab the SD data with an xml grabber instead of the built in, unless it works like the old zap2it,saving the xml for further processing..

Jim_, whurlston, Zhed, and I are all working to make sure iXMLTV works with all the EPG grabbers we're working on.

I haven't tested it with mine but I would like to think it'll work if you use the Yahoo version of ixmltv.

I haven't tried it, cause I don't know how. What would I change to download the data using the SD account instead of the zap2it account?

I have tried the I-xmltv for yahooxmltv, and did get it working. I'm just hoping to go straight from zap2it to SD.

It should be workable with just an update of the XMLTV.exe file and the recreation of the tv_grab_na_dd file. Set your recording source to use XMLTV instead of schedules direct for the EPG update.

I've got it working here, I just need to tweak some things. (I don't believe incremental is working so I would SET Incremental=0.)

Where/how did you get/do the updates? Do I just need to run the --configure.bat for I-xmltv? I think incremental has always been a problem.

I just want make the change so that I-xmltv stops using my zap2it account and downloads the data using my new SD account and password. Is this what you have done? Can you provide a step by step procedure for switching?

Thanks

Yes please I depend heavily on this, it's the only way I can get the ep #'s saved with the recordings.
