My pvr is freezing when I fast forward a recording, It doesn't matter if I am using gbpvr, or pvrx2. I have a athlon 64 3800+ so I am not out of cpu. I am using a pvr-250 card.

Have you tried stuff like playing and fast fordwarding in Windows Media player outside of gbpvr?

you probably need to try a different mpeg decoder. what decoder are you using atm (others may know if it's any good or not).

[edit] removed idea that it might be timestamps

cyberlink I guess.

Make sure you have explicity configured this decoder (and the audio decoder) in the config. don;t leave them as system default.

try a different decoder such as dscaler5, mpv.

It looks like you have your error logging set to debug which could slow things down. did you do this just for the test or was it always set to this. try lowering your error logging to "error".

are you actually using FF or skip? If FF, does the problem repro when you just press it once or more or when you hold it down for ages?

It was just skip, I don't have a MVP. I already had the decoder options set. It freezes immediatly. Also, I had the logging set to debug just to make the log to post.

so any recording that you play back will hang as soon as you press skip once?

if you don't have it already set, tick the flush logs option, reproduce the problem and upload all your logs.

can you think of any settings in the misc tab that you might have changed from default?

other than the above and trying a different decoder, I have no idea (sorry)

you might have to wait for sub to help you out but he is on holiday for a few weeks.

Reproduce the problem then zip and attach the pvrx2.exe.log and pvrx2.exe-native.log and I'll take a look.
